How to get good at this
Flags are easier once you stop looking at them one at a time. Whole regions share a habit: the Nordic countries all carry an off-centre cross, many Arab flags use the same four colours of red, black, white and green, and a surprising number of former British colonies keep a small Union Jack in the top corner. Learn the family and you have narrowed twenty flags down to five.
How the round works
Ten questions, four answers each, and the score in the corner counts up as you go. There is no clock and nothing is taken away for a wrong answer, so thinking for a minute costs you nothing. At the end you get the list of the ones you missed, and every one of them is a link to the page that explains it — which is the part worth doing, because being wrong is the moment you are most curious about the answer.
Nothing is stored anywhere. There is no account to make, no score kept on a server and no streak that breaks if you go away for a week — the round simply starts again from the beginning, with fresh questions, whenever you come back.

What age is this quiz for?
It is written for roughly eight to twelve year olds, but there is nothing in it that stops an adult being caught out — the harder rounds catch most grown-ups too.
Is my score saved anywhere?
No. The score exists only while the round is open, and nothing is sent anywhere. Close the page and it is gone.
